Blockages to urinals are caused by the build up of scale in the urinal traps or waste pipe work. This is produced by the deposition of dissolved salts that are present either alone in the water supply such as lime scale or in combination with uric salts.

Lime scale is sparingly soluble in water and builds up on the exposed surfaces of urinals as the flush water evaporates. This deposition can be increased by the addition of warm urine. Further to the build up of lime scale, uric salts form encrustations on the toilet and urinal surfaces and can cause additional blockages.

Normally occur due to too much toilet paper or unusual loads attempting to travel down the Soil system. Whilst it can be a messy job, a blocked toilet is usually easy to fix with some basic know-how
Don’t keep flushing to try and clear it as This could cause your Toilet overflow and flood the Area. Try using a plunger to Remove the blockage and encourage it to go down the pipes, follow these steps
Use the right plunger
It is important to use a large heavy-duty rubber plunger, either the ball-shaped type or one with a fold-out rubber flange on the bottom which forms a seal. Do not use the small cheap suction-cup type of plunger – these will often not work.
Remember, the larger the plunger, the more force you can apply down into the Blocked Toilet. The plunger should have a shape which ensures that the water you force out of it when you push down does not shoot back up into the toilet bowl instead of pushing into the drain Press a plunger down firmly into the toilet and then pull upwards slowly. Repeat this at least 10 times until you hear water going down the pipes Still No Luck : it’s time to Check your Drainage
